General Information
The Texas A&M University at Qatar Library supports the academic programs of the University by building an onsite print collection of books, journals, reference works, multimedia, and more in an environment that fosters learning and inquiry. By coordinating with College Station and other Education City libraries, the University gives its faculty and staff access to a robust array of resources.
A core professional collection of 8000 engineering titles, 90 journals, and basic materials in the liberal arts, humanities and sciences are available in the library. Students may also request books and journal articles from the libraries on the main campus in College Station, from a collection that exceeds 3.9 million volumes, 52,000 journal titles, over 650 databases, and nearly 444,000 electronic books.
Using the online catalog, LibCat, students can identify books and journal articles by author, title, subject and keyword searching. DeliverEdocs offers a document delivery service that supplies an electronic copy of journal articles, free of charge, to all students. Time-saving search tools are available through an electronic resource search interface and SFX OpenURL linking to the most appropriate full text.
The professional library staff are available to help faculty and students utilize library and information resources, as well as support research efforts by identifying and coordinating access to all print and electronic materials held in either the onsite collection or the other TAMU and Education City libraries.
